Poem written by Mel 18th April 2024

So long ago and then so slow, No cares restrain nor sadness we know. No fears, no pain as life’s journey starts; The days of childhood and youth depart. Young adults - days are full of fun With work and play so keenly begun. No thought for tomorrow we rush along, Life’s like a never ending song. And then one day we suddenly find, So much time is left behind. But senior days are such as gold, with so much wisdom to be told. Let no one think you’ve passed your best You have done it all and passed the test, Those that follow from you must learn, That your achievements they have to earn.
